A to Z In-Home Tutoring provides high quality tutoring to students in their homes, schools and other locations. We are seeking great tutors in various states and locations. As an A to Z tutor, you will experience schedule flexibility and great pay as well as the opportunity to work with children and youth, making a measurable impact in your community. It depends. We provide mostly in person tutoring to students in groups and individual tutoring in the child's home or at an alternate location. We have begun some online tutoring in certain states. Please inquire with your state's representative for further information. Regardless of format, all scheduling is done between you and your family, making our program very flexible for both tutor and client.
Tutor qualifications vary depending on state. At a minimum, applicants must have completed 60+ college hours and be able to pass the state required background check.
If you meet our initial qualifications, you will be prompted to create a username and password that will give you access to our web-based system. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail that your application has been received. If A to Z is currently in need of tutors in your region, you will be contacted by your regional coordinator who will give you information on completing the hiring process.
Your hours per week will be determined by you and the number of clients you select to tutor. Most tutors provide services to clients between two and four hours per week. This number also depends on the availability of students in your area.
Although our recruitment process is immediate, it may be days or weeks or even months before you have your first client. Because we work primarily with various government programs, our schedule for tutoring is often dictated by funding cycles. Priority for client assignments is given to those tutors who are passionate about helping kids, best qualified and eager to helps kids. We only contract tutors in areas where we expect to be tutoring soon.
